Cordell, Oklahoma

The Washita County Museum is housed in the Carnegie Library which was constructed with the assistance of funds provided by steel magnate, Andrew Carnegie. This building features the original stained glass window transoms, and, with the exception of the roof and entry door, the exterior has not been altered since its construction in 1911. This building, designed by architect A. A. Crowell, is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The museum features a 1900 Schoolhouse, Chuck wagon, circa 1890, farm and home displays, and other items and records of Washita County development from 1890 to the present.

Florence Hospital
